When running outside of Windows, you can use this program to destroy a hard drive that has any operating system installed. From within Windows, this tool can completely erase any internal or external drive other than the one you use for Windows (usually the C: drive).
CBL Data Shredder comes in two versions, both of which are useful for different scenarios. The first is a bootable program that can be used on a floppy or data disc, and the second is a regular program that works on Windows 10 to Windows XP (it doesn't work for me on Windows 11).
The bootable program comes as a floppy disk program or ISO disk image. It is useful for erasing the hard drive on which an operating system is installed. For example, if you want to wipe a Linux or Windows hard drive, use this bootable method to erase the drive.
