Google Calendar adds RSVP option to attend events virtually
Google said a new RSVP option will allow users to choose their participation as in-person or virtual. Both the organizer of the event and the other guests will see how people participate in the event details.
It is important to note that the new RSVP options do not work with contacts on other platforms such as Microsoft Outlook.
The new feature will initially only be available on Google Calendar, but will soon come to Gmail calendar invitations. Google said the feature will gradually roll out to users over the coming weeks.
