One of the most common printer manufacturers on the market is Hewlett Packard. Most HP printers have a feature called Embedded Web Server (EWS). You can scan any document on your Chromebook using the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS). Here's how you do it.

Before you can use EWS on your Chromebook, you need to find the printer's IP address. The easiest way to do this is from the printer's built-in menu, under Settings > Options > Wireless Settings (if it's a wireless printer). You can also see the View Wireless Details option to see the IP address.

Once you have the IP address of your HP printer, launch Google Chrome on your Chromebook and type that IP address into the URL address bar. You will see the main menu for your printer.
