Why these streaming apps are missing from your Samsung TV
First reported by Protocol, the new compatibility allows anyone to watch Samsung's streaming service, whether they have a Samsung device or not. Previously, you could only watch Samsung TV Plus on Samsung smart TVs or Samsung smartphones.
The Protocol said that Samsung has yet to officially announce the new ways to watch the streaming service, but that the company confirmed that it added the new viewer compatibilities in May.
The new Chromecast compatibility lets you stream your favorite shows and movies using the Samsung TV Plus app for Android to a Chromecast-compatible device. It's important to note that Samsung's app is still only available for download on Samsung phones, such as the Galaxy S21 or Galaxy Note20. However, if you have an iPhone, you can still watch Samsung TV Plus via your desktop on virtually any device.
